Reposting this compilation of Jasmine Mendiola Brides Jthrough the last 16 years because I miss weddings and doing makeup. For now, although I cannot speak for other colleagues in the industry, I think the more prudent though difficult thing to accept about the unpredictable impact this pandemic has on our situation is realizing that I have no way to guarantee that an exercise in close-contact makeup appointments will be risk-fee. And so I will have to adopt the mindset that if I was asymptomatic, I would not want to put my client’s or the family I will go back to in harm’s way in spite of safety measures that we can put in place. Seeing that all of my 2020 bookings have moved to next year, I feel considerable reason to no longer accept bookings in the near future. However, I invite my colleagues to join me on the Philippine Makeup Professionals Facebook Group so we can share best practices, find ways to continue serving up glow to our clients and innovate our beauty business. And to future brides-to-be, COVID will not stop your from having your dream wedding: I’d be happy to host a DIY Bridal Makeup One-on-One Tutorial with you instead so you can bring out your own bridal glow the way I would, or even better! stay safe, stay beautiful, stay optimistic but realistic! I love you all and thank you for wearing that #JasGlow.
